What is a writing coach?

A writing coach is both a creative guide and a sounding board for generating fresh ideas for a manuscript or screenplay.  Oftentimes, writers become so entrenched in their stories that they fail to see alternative ways of presenting their ideas.

A writing coach is an objective voice for writers, a sort of idea editor who also acts as a creative cheerleader and project mentor.

Do I need a full-time writing coach?

Some writers prefer to retain the services of a writing coach from the inception of their ideas straight through to the final draft, but many writers often need only a creative jumpstart here and there.  Whatever a writer's need, OgleMoore provides full-time, part-time, or one-time writing coach consultations.

What's the cost of a writing coach?

Investing in a writing coach can cost a writer as much as $250 for a half hour session, but we work within writers' budgets.  We charge a flat fee of $.50 per double-spaced page for review of a manuscript or screenplay in progress to become thoroughly familiar with the project, and our consultation rate following the review is $35 per half hour or $60 per hour, half hour minimum required.
