If you've never engaged the services of an editor, here are basic definitions of editing.

A Standard Edit, Edit Review, or Proofread consists of correcting a manuscript's spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

A Full Edit consists of a Standard Edit plus the added dimensions of text enhancement suggestions, checking syntax, and plot/character consistency review.

We edit using Track Changes, a Microsoft Word feature included in all MSWord editions.  We use this editing method to highlight the changes we make to your manuscript, speech, magazine article, or web copy.

Once we have released our edit for your review, you will need to examine each edit and choose Accept or Reject in the Track Changes options.

In addition, Track Changes offers space for editor comments that appear as highlighted in your manuscript.  Accompanying all of our edits are detailed instructions on how to access and use the Track Changes feature, and we're also happy to walk you through the process via phone.
